Roosevelt Field Mall
The Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City provided the perfect venue for a successful Blood Drive! The staff was fantastic, the mall employees were accommodating, and the space was comfortable for the donors. The drive collected 82 pints which breaks the previous record set in July, 2020 of 73! Thank you, again, to our steadfast donors and all who make the blood drives possible.

July 13, 2020
The traditional drive held at the Menges home with the bloodmobile was not possible because of the pandemic, so a bigger location was needed. John Parks, owner of the beautiful and newly renovated Stewart Manor County Club, generously offered his space, and thanks to him, the blood drive was better than ever. The NY Blood Center ran an organized, efficient, and safe event; masks were worn, and social distancing was practiced throughout. Also, a big shout-out to Kenny at Bagel Man who donated bagels for the staff and donors.
16th Menges Blood Drive attracts another big crowd!
12/22/19
Jake and Bobby Menges hosted their first semi-annual blood drive at their home in 2012. Jake is continuing the drives in Bobby's memory and has changed the name to the "Bobby Menges Memorial Blood Drive".
Garden City High School friends, Duke friends, neighbors and strangers stopped by on Sunday, 12/22 to donate blood in memory of Bobby, in honor of loved ones, and simply to give the gift of life this holiday season. Thank you all who donated!
Bobby Menges Memorial Blood Drives
continue to be community events!
Jake and Bobby Menges ran Blood Drives together for 9 years. After Bobby died, Jake began hosting Bobby Menges Memorial Blood Drives in honor of his little brother. Many who couldn't give blood donated to the "I'm Not Done Yet" foundation!
